The reason for Christmas

Christ statue in visitor center

Phoenix Temple

San Diego Temple

All the fun times we had in Yuma with our family we couldn't forget the reason for Christmas! We our so grateful to have him in our lives. Our children know he is there for us. We have all had many experiences that we know he watches over us.

Our Children just got off the bus this afternoon and told me their bus had been in a wreck on Wednesday. Our children usually only ride the bus in the morning because I pick them up after school so I can take Kallee to gymnastics. But on occasions they do ride the bus home but the most incredible thing is they were going to ride that afternoon. I decided to ask Kallee's coach if she could come in and work out with the levels 8 because she had missed so much. She told me that would be fine so I picked them up and took Kallee to gymnastics. The amazing part of the story is that is the afternoon the bus was in a serious accident.

I know he lives and is watching over us all. I am so grateful for him. I am thankful to have the opportunity at this time of year to take our family to two different temples. We had a great experience and they both are beautiful.

Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year!

Dipping Chocolates with Grandma

We loved dipping pretzels in chocolate and sprinkling them with sprinkles. We had fun but the best part was licking our fingers and eating them. Yummy!

Wild times with the zoo animals

We enjoyed the day at the zoo with our Grandpa, Grandma, Regan, and our cousins! We saw lots of fun animals. Kallee's favorite part was eating her enormous huge pixie stick her mom and dad bought her, Kyle's was the huge rhino's, Kody's was the lions, and Kamden's was brushing the billy goats. To top the day off the weather was just perfect!

Our most favorite Aunt Regan and Kody's buddy Chris

We couldn't adventure all the way over on the opposite side of America from here in Virginia and not make it to the beach. Our children loved playing in the waves even though it was freezing cold. We stayed until the Coast Gaurd told is to head on home.

Kerestes 4-wheelin Time

Kallee's first time 4-wheelin! She said,"I had the best time ever and didn't want to get off. I wanted to keep on riding."
Kyle said," I just wanted to drive it so bad. But I loved when Chris took me over the big sand dunes. I had fun and didn't want it to end. I even let my mom give me a ride over lots of bumps!"

Kamden even wanted a ride. He was kicking and screaming when we took him off and big brother Kody got on. I guess we are breaking them in early.

Kody at first was nervous but eventualy he let his buddy Chris take him for a ride. After that he didn't want to get off. He asked his daddy for one of these toys. His dad said." In the future big boy."

Thanks to Regan's friend Chris we were able to go 4-wheelin! We had the best time kickin up all that Yuma sand! Even Mom learned how to drive it even though it was a clutch! She was pretty proud and even gave Dad a ride of his life! I think she only scared him a few times especially when she just about drove over sage brush that was taller than him. But he made it back safe and even ask for another ride! When he drove he tried showin off a little to much and flipped it on it's side. That goodness he wasn't hurt. Crazy Dad!

Nativity Scene

Kody looks adorable!

Our family had so much fun celebrating Christmas Eve. Each year we have our Christmas Eve dinner, a program, and then we act out the nativity. We had lots of laughs this year especially because dad was the donkey this year. The kids loved the ride.

Christmas Eve PJ'S

Each year we have a tradition that Mom did as a girl. We always get to open up Christmas PJ'S t wear on Christmas morning. This year even mom and dad got some to match the kids.
