Valentine's Day

We invited the Missionaries over to share our Valentine's Dinner with us.

Kamden, Kallee, and I made these broken glass Valentine cookies. They looked so cool and we had fun smashing the Jolley Ranchers and putting them inside the heart cookies. Then watching the Jolley Rancher Melt inside the oven. Of course, we used the Sugar Cookie Recipe my mom always made with us. They are the very best!

Every Valentine's we always like to make our's. This year the boys all picked robots. Kamden helped me make Kody's and his. Also, this year we had a preschool Valentine Party here at our house. We had 18 kids. We played Valentine Games, made a craft, and ate lunch together. I thought how wonderful it is that I have that many wonderful friends here in this area.

Kyle also helped me make these for his basketball team to wish them a Happy Valentine's Day. We had lots of fun together. Also for his class he couldn't have candy so we used juice boxes for the robot's body and a box of raisins for his head. Then Kyle thought of using gum for the arms. They actually turned our really cute. We both stayed up late the night before Valentine's Day making 28 of them. I enjoyed the time with him.

Can't have Valentine's Day without homemade chocolate Peanut Butter balls. Another recipe from my mom that we would make. Kallee, Kody, Kamden, and I love these things. They are super yummy! We made little origami boxes and put them inside to give away. Kamden and Kody had a blast putting all the sprinkles on! I won't mention how many bottles of sprinkles they used and how many I swept up off the floor.

Crafts

This month I had so much fun making Valentine's crafts.

This Winter Block set is reversible to the Valentine's Day! My awesome friend cut this out for me to make!

This other Valentine's Day block I made and is reversible as well to the picture down below. I really had fun making this one. I enjoyed taking pictures of my children's hands and then we would all try to guess who's hand is who's. After it was all finished it meant a lot to me. I love looking at all the sweet little hands! I sure do love my kids! This one I will hold dear to my heart forever!

Gymnastics at Virginia Beach

A weekend in February Kallee, the two little boys, and myself went to Virginia Beach for Kallee's Level 9 Gymnastics meet. It was a five hour drive we did all by ourselves. We were pretty proud that we made it there and didn't even get lost. The boys were awesome!!!!!!! Dad and Kyle stayed home for Youth basketball games and Kyle's basketball game. We stayed at more of a resort than a hotel. It had the coolest indoor lazy pool that swirled in and around caves with waterfalls! It also had a kids center and an indoor movie theatre. The best part was it was right along the beach. We were able to look out our window and see the waves crashing up on the shore. We even walked along the beach chasing seagulls! We really had fun. Kallee did good at her meet the next morning! You go Kallee! The only bummer it was her first time in her whole Gymnastic career to fall during her floor routine. I actually screamed because I felt so bad and it surprised me. It was on her first tumbling pass and her feet gave right out from under her. I saw it in her face that she couldn't believe what had just happened. But she kept on going and finished it up. I told her it had to happen sometime! Talk about amazing that she has never fallin before this meet on the floor exercise. But floor is her best event! But besides that she still came home with three metals. Keep shooting for you dreams and you will get it!

Super Bowl

Super Bowl fun at the Kerestes Home! Kyle and Kody's Team made it all the way to the Super Bowl so we had to go all out for the boys!!! I asked Kyle what he wanted so here is what we had. Football pizza, football cheeseball, football cookies (Kallee made), football cake suckers, football stuffed eggs, and football drinks. The boys had a blast watching and cheering for the Patriots. The only bummer was they lost to the Giants. But we still had so much fun as a family cheering for the Patriots. Kallee and my favorite part was watching Madonna at the Half time show. She did a great job! Happy Super Bowl Memories

BYU HOKIE GAME

Kyle and Mike went to the Hokie and BYU Basketball game in our old home town Virginia. When Kyle found out that BYU was playing the Hokies he had to go. The only problem was he didn't have enough money. So Grandma and Grandpa Kerestes surprised for him Christmas and gave him the tickets! WOW...he was super happy.

Mike and Kyle had a blast together. They went and ate out at Kyle's favorite place SUBWAY. Then they went to the game and even saw several friends. It has been about 2 years since we left Virginia. Kyle even spotted our old neighbors who lived right next to us! So exciting to see them. Kyle and Mike couldn't believe they had a 2 year old. d CRAZY what time does!

After the game Kyle was able to get several BYU's autographs. Tonight was his dream night.

Of course, you want to know who won and who Kyle was hoping would win????? BYU did! Kyle loves both teams but wants to go to BYU and someday be able to watch all the home games with his season pass. GO BYU and HOKIES!

You know how much I love Primary! I made CTR Baptism Gifts for the children who get baptized. I also made a fun CHEW'S the Right Gumball for sharing time. I also wanted to thank my sister for making 75 origami's so I sewed her a pillow case and had all the primary kids sign it! Fun memories in Primary

Balloons

The boys and I went to the Library one afternoon and found this balloon animal book. We thought we would give it a try. We were successful. OK it only took me about and hour to remember how to make the sword and the boys learned in about 15 minutes. They are amazing how fast they can pick something up. We had a blast though and made over 20 swords. Of course, we had to have a sword fight!
