Kallee's Regional Leotard
Kallee's Regional Leotard!

"Courage, determination, persistence and hard work. That’s what Kallee is made of."

"You run like a girl, you jump like a girl, you swing like a girl, you tumble six feet over a four-inch beam…like a girl!"

How you train today determines how you perform tomorrow.
"The Lord is my coach. He will provide me with everything that I need. He watches over me. He tells me to rest when I need it. He knows when I need encouragement. He restores me with laughter and joy. Even when I am afraid, I know He is with me. He leads me on, beyond my own limitations. He comforts me with the promise, that He will catch me if I fall. He prepares food for me daily. I am blessed. His kindness and strength surround me every day of my life. And I will follow in His footsteps forever." Regional Gymnastics (Kallee Level 8)
Regional Scores for Kallee AA: 36.075 (9th Place), Vault 9.050 (8th place AA), Bars 8.775, Beam 8.950 (8th place AA), Floor 9.300 (9th place AA). She came home earning 4 medals at REGIONALS!

To make it to Regionals you have to place 16th place or better at STATE! Kallee was in 8th place AA with one event to go....she fell on bars. Not only did she get counted with a fall but did not get counted for her skill so it knocked her to 17th place. But Kallee held her head high and was ready to prepare for next year. So for the next 3 weeks Kallee was beginning to work on level 9 skills. Well on Monday I was driving Kallee to practice when the gym called me and asked if Kallee wanted to go to Regionals???? I said what do you mean???? They said Murphey from our gym has scratched and Kallee is next in line. I asked Kallee and she didn't believe me. But after while she said of course! So with only 4 days to practice her level 8 skills that she hasn't practiced for over 3 weeks she hit it hard at the gym.
I have never seen her work so hard. She came home so fatigue and just exhausted but her will power was so strong. She knew all the other girls have had 3 extra weeks to not only prepare physical but also mentally. She had to give it all she had. As a mother, I was so proud of her.
All her hard work paid off. She did wonderful coming in last place and then placing 9th AA. You are so amazing Kallee. As a family we will never ever forget this amazing experience we shared with you. You taught us so much. As a parent I thought I would have to teach you how to over come your disappointments but you taught me to never give up. Even when you don't make it there is always sunshine after the rain. Because of your wonderful attitude and will power the doors to Regionals was opened for you. You did it! Thanks for teaching me!
Gymnastic Lollipops!
Kallee's brothers sure do LOVE HER!!!!! They helped Mom set up a table during our neighborhood yard sale to help Kallee sell her lollipops for gymnastic leotards! She was at school helping with a service project.....washing cars! So they decided they would do it for her and only for a small cut.....one lollipop each was their share of the cut!
This is crazy we know but Mom ordered over 500 Lollipops for Kallee to sell to help her buy some new grips and leotards. She has out grown all her Leos and very much in need for new ones. But they are very expensive so Mom said she needed to help raise the money to buy some new ones. With lots of time and very gracious people Kallee has sold all but about 100. She is so close to getting herself some new leotards. Boy, I bet she really appreciate those new leotards and will for sure hope she doesn't out grow them anytime soon. Thanks to family and friends with all your kindness in giving to help Kallee out in her favorite sport....GYMNASTICS. I know she appreciates it tons!
Kallee says thank you to her brothers as well especially Kyle for walking and selling all those Lollipops!
Strawberry Jam

Our family went to a Strawberry Patch for the first time ever which is about 11 miles from our house. We have never seen so many yummy, ripe, beautiful strawberries. After the kids picked TONS of strawberries Mom bought them each a hard ice cream cone and fed the goats. We then came home and realized we picked a TON of strawberries so Mom and Dad made 4 batches of strawberry jam. But oh they turned out so good and the kids love the JAM! We will for sure do it again!
I have to blame Kallee,Kody, and Kyle for all the strawberries by the way. We each went down a row and started picking. About 10 minutes into it they came to me and said is this enough??? They had huge buckets filled to the top. Mine was not even half full yet. I just laughed and said perfect!!!! Kamden even walked down the rows and picked the BIG HUGE RED strawberries! He only picked a few little tiny green ones!
Went we went to pay we had 17 pounds of Strawberries..... I knew I would be making lots of good JAM!
Thank goodness Dad came home from work and jumped in to help me. We were so into it we both forgot he had Young Men's at 6:30! OOOOPS!!!!!!!!!
Bulls Basketball Game!
Mom surprised Dad and Kyle with a card that held Chicago Bull Basketball tickets inside! The Bulls were playing the Bobcats in Charlotte which is less than a hour away!
Kyle was so excited and had a blast! He even came home with 4 t-shirts for FREE! He either caught them or were given to him. It made his night! Our BackYard Project
