Our crazy but blessed life!
Here is a funny story for you! Our life has been super crazy with this move because to complicate everything Mike has to do training up in Allentown Pa for 6-8weeks and then would be able to come to Greensboro with us. It is very complicated with our whole move because we are buying a house before even our has sold plus I am living in a temp apartment while Mike is in a hotel, and we still have our house in Viriginia. But we only did this crazy move because we really wanted our kids to start school here with the rest of the kids. I actually missed the first day by one day. We got a contract our house but it took me over 4 hours to be approved for our children to be in school here in North Carolina. It was tough. But we actually sent our kids to school in Virginia there first day they started because it was a Wednesday and we didn't even have a contract on another house or any temp housing in North Carolina. Schools in North Carolina started on the following Tuesday. But we went down on Thursday and over the weekend had a house contract and temp housing. A true miracle to be able to pull everything off. So we just laugh because this day was their first and last day at belview school in Virginia. Now they are going to school in North Carolina and seem to be enjoying it! I hope that makes some sense but if only you knew how crazy everything was then maybe you would understand. But we have been super super blessed. We give our thanks!
Our Home for Sale in Virginia
It's crazy but true our house in Virginia is up for sale. We are moving to North Carolina with Volvo. Mike is now going to be a Manager! We are excited for him and look forward to a new chapter in our life. We are going to miss our house. We have really enjoyed living here for our first home. We have shared a lot of memories and will never forget all the love here in our home. We will miss everyone in Virginia but are only 2 hours away. Kool K Family House!Visit from G&G Cottrell
While Jessica was here visiting us our garden was ready to harvest. Lucky them! Just kidding they probably didn't think that because we put them to work. We spent hours at our garden picking vegetables. But we did have lots of fun. We canned over a 100 green beans, several pickles, peas, and even did salsa. But everyone will enjoy them this winter because they will taste so yummy and we bring back fun memories. Thanks for helping us!
We also made candles with them. I tell you what we have never laughed so hard and what a mess. For our first time ever we did great and learned a lot. We won't mention Grandma's wax melting a hole right in the bottom of a foam cup and spilling everywhere. But with Grandpa's smart teacher tips we finally got it and have lots of fun candles.
Grandpa came here to play with the kids and he sure did. For many hours they played marbles. They built a tube and rolled marbles down it trying to hit other marbles. I do have to say I even did it and had fun. Grandpa was super awesome with our kids and they will never forget all the fun they had with their special grandpa. Thanks so much Grandpa and we love you!
We even waited to go see the new Harry Potter movie that came out with them. We liked it and had lots of fun together. We won't mention sneeking in some Jimmy Jones Sandwhiches and eating them during the show. Hey we were hungry. But we just laughed when Grandma came out with Jimmy Jones sandwhich sauce all down her white shirt. She looked great and we sure she enjoyed her sandwhich!Tuesday, August 18, 2009
Our Baby Kamden
We just love these pictures of Kamden sleeping. He crawled up on this chair and fell right asleep.
He is so much fun and we love Kamden so much. He will be 2 in November. We can't believe how fast he is growing. He his even talking with full sentences.
Kamden smiles all the time and loves his brothers and sister. His favorite food to eat is yogurt and chocolate milk. His favorite toy to play with is balls. He loves throw them all around our house. He still sleeps with mom and dad. Even for his naps loves to sleep in Mom and Dad's bed. What a joy he is.Thursday, July 9, 2009
Kallee marching in 4th July Parade
Kallee's gymnatic's team each year participates in the Blacksburg parade. The boys just love waving to their big sister! This year she passed out candy to all the kids which she loved. She did do a round off back tuck on the pavement which took a huge chunk out of her hand. The crowd of course thought it was way cool but I don't think she will try that one again. OUCH! We love the 4th of July. Each year we look forward to this special day. We are so grateful to live here in America and truly it is beautiful. We loved going to the Statue of Liberty in June which made this holiday all the more special along with ground zero. We are grateful to be a family and share this day together. We had lots of fun starting off with the pancake breakfast in the morning, the parade in the afternoon, baseball game in the evening, and then the big firework show late at night at Christiansburg High School. Thanks to all the men and women who make this holiday possible. God Bless America!
