Kody Baptism, Confirmation, and Birthday Party

Kody, you had a wonderful and special Baptism, Confirmation, and Birthday.  One thing we will never forget is the ice storm that came right before your birthday party.  It was so bad that several people in our city were without power for days.  There were several trees down blocking roads and school was closed for 3 days because of this storm.  But Heavenly Father blessed us because we were able to keep our power the whole time.  I know he was watching over you for your special weekend.  We have so much to be grateful for and especially to share these moments with you.
Our Family tradition is to eat out after a Baptism so Kody got to choose any where he wanted to go.  He choose Golden Corral just for all the SUGAR!!! All you can eat chocolate fountain, ice cream, and of course cotton candy.  He ate 3 entire cotton candies.  He also loved all the food choices on the buffet.  He said, "Mom, I am in heaven.  This is the best place ever."

Baptism Treats

Kyle set up the table with some of the things you love most.
Grandma helping out the refreshments after the Baptism.
 Kallee made Kody CTR Cupcakes.
I made temple sugar cookies because they are his favorite cookie.

Grandma Cottrell came out a week early to help with the preparations for Kody's Baptism and Birthday Party.  Grandma went all out and did a great job with Kody's 8th birthday party and his baptism. Grandma you are so talented and so much fun!! Thanks

Kody's Baptism

Kody I want you to know how proud I am of you today.  I know it is the only way back to our Heavenly Father and to gain our eternal life.  As I watched you go into the water and come out you had the biggest glow and smile about you.  I am so grateful to be your mother.  I love you with all my heart and know you are a very special child of God.  Congratulations today!
Grandpa Kerestes gave a beautiful talk on the Holy Ghost and Grandma said the closing prayer.

Kody Baptism

Grandpa Cottrell gave a talk on baptism. He gave you a gold key which is to remind you of your eternal key to eternal life. You must always remain pure and worthy so you always have your key ready to unlock the doors to eternal life.  Grandma lead the music and said the opening prayer.
