Kyle you did! Kyle has worked so hard to earn this medal from school! His principal did a 100 club and whoever could complete 100 addition facts and 100 subtraction facts under 5 minutes would make this club and earn a medal. After working very hard to do this he was the only one in his class and only one another child did it out of 5 second grade classes. Way to go and we are so proud of you! Kyle is keeping up with his math skills and knows how to do multiplication, division, geometry, and lots more! He just loves anything with a number in it!
Kyle also earned a trophy from completing his Basketball session. He did great and even made some points during the game! Everyone called him the Mighty Little Man! I still can't figure out why he is so little????? Thanks MOM! But even I played basketball for 4 years. 2 years in middle school and 2 years in High School! He reminded me of how I use to play. Just a crazy, little person, all over the court stealing the ball. Better watch out!
We had the best time as a family going to Kallee's Level 8 State Meet! It never gets old watching Kallee perform and every year she gets better and the skills she does gets harder. It is truly an amazing sport and as a family we have learned so much. We have grown closer together and our family's testimony has grown as well. We have laughed together, cheered together, and even cried together with gymnastics. We have learned to have courage and motivation and always remain strong to the gospel. Especially Kallee has learned this. She has never competed on a Sunday and this year out of 5 meets she scratched one and completed as a level 9 the other. But she was blessed to make it to state and it was even on FRIDAY! This sport has taught us so much but most importantly never take our eyes off what is most important in this life. The end will only be better than the beginning! We want to thank everyone who helps us and supports Kallee through such an intense sport. Grandma and Grandpa Kerestes thanks for the wonderful Hotel at state. The kids were able to have an extra day at the beach and Kallee was able to really enjoy the beach after she gave everything she possibly had for State! She wasn't there going for the bronze or silver but the GOLD! In our eyes she definitely came home with the GOLD metal. Even though she didn't she reminded us that is was O.K. just as long as she gets the GOLD up in Heaven! We know she will! Just remember to always shoot for your dreams and keep your FAITH!
Here is a picture of Kyle's Shark teeth he found. Let me tell you it's not easy to find these either. You have to have really good eyes and lots of patience which is exactly my son!
When I was a little girl we had a Huge sandbox in our backyard. Not as big as this one but I would go outside and build dams, canals, and castles in the sand. Then I would get our water hose and fill it up and watch the water go through all the canals and dams. As it would fill them up I would have to keep building up the sides so the walls wouldn't break. I had a blast doing this as a little girl so my boys and I built one! It brought back a lot of fun childhood memories!
Kallee was excited to be back at the beach after her gymnastics meet! She loved playing in the water and finding lots of beautiful shells!
Kallee's Gymnastics Hair do for her level 8 Meet!
Kamden just loved playing in all the sand!
