We choose BearTree Campground because we wanted to do a 26 mile bike ride through the mountains but it just happened about a week ago a tornado came through and damage a couple of tressles on the trail so we were only able to do 16 miles. But WOW Kallee and Kyle did such a great job and could have done another 10 miles. It was absolutely the prettiest bike ride ever. We crossed over streams, bridges, rocks, dirt, and saw god's most prettiest nature. We loved doing this and will do it again soon!
Kallee was our leader and pretty much kept us all going. She was a speed demon and we were all left in the dust. She was a great trail leader and for sure kept us going! She loved it but her hands were sore for holding on the handle bars so tight. She could hardly open and close her hands but she said she can't wait to do it again! But hopes it will be warmer next time!
Kyle was quite the little man on his bike. He had the smallest and heaviest bike of all so it was tough at times but he never gave up or even complained. He loved going as fast as he could and through every little puddle of water. He can't wait to this again but wants to do 26 miles! So we will wait until the trail is fixed and do it again!
We saw beautiful nature all through the mountains! We would of liked it to be warmer so we could of taken our time and stopped more. But it started sprinkling on us and we were a bit nervous because we didn't want to freeze!!!! So we just trucked it down the mountain! To beat the storm!
Mom loved being with her family and watching everyone ride their bikes. She had a blast even though she was an icicle! Her hands were a bit numb and her toes but she still enjoyed every minute! What a blast!
Dad had the joy of pulling the two boys in a trailer. He said it was quite easy and they had the best spot of all. Covered from the rain and cool breeze covered with a warm blanket. In fact, they both fell asleep for a while to wake up eat a snack and enjoy a great ride through the forest. It worked out great having them in here because they were snug as a bug and didn't even complain about being cold. It was our first time doing this and it was awesome! Mike loved it and looks forward to another adventure on bikes!
